The 2020 Pinot Noir Gold Coast Vineyard Duende is quite a bit richer and deeper than it usually is, and that’s a huge positive, as the Duende can be a touch fleeting and overly ethereal in some years. Dark cherry, plum, spice, dried and French oak are front and center. In this vintage, Duende is heady and explosive. There is quite a bit of savoriness, but that is the personality of the site, as there are no whole clusters here. The 2020 Duende is quite simply exceptional. Paul Lato fans will adore it.
